2005, 43.11% of households have sanitary toilets; with Bekigan having the highest percentage at 78.88%, and Saclit the lowest
at 29.41% • Electricity now reached all the Barangays but supply is fluctuating and there are still some houses not
energized
Environment and Sanitation • 93% of the households have no proper waste disposal • There
are no covered garbage bins in public places • Solid waste management program is still being designed but presently
being constituted by the disposal by a dump truck of collected garbages and other wastes at a designated dumping place. This
serves only the households concentrated along the provincial road in Poblacion • Open canals and drainage systems. •
Most houses have no septic tanks and drains waste directly into creeks and open drainages
Education • literacy
rate - 62% • Level of educational attainment and cohort survival rate is very low which is attributed to: Inadequate
facilities, learning materials and teachers; poverty; absence of learning center or public library, and conditions not conducive
for learning

to out of school youth and adult students • # of classrooms (elementary school)= 43 (only 35 functional) •
